The Japanese market-only Toyota Crown is based on the same platform as the Lexus GS. This particular model has the 2-liter turbo engine, like the one found in the GS200t.

Why’s it idling at around 1500 rpm? Pretty cold weather is the only possibility I can think of, but that still seems high for a car that’s this new. Just my completely unfounded guess and 2 cents.
Edit: got farther into the video, it’s lowered to a normal level, and I look like an idiot.

It’s pretty wacky, but in person, these cars look nice actually. I went to Japan recently, and these Crowns really stood out to me.
